Why Elite Taekwondo?
Taekwondo is a 3000 year old form of the martial arts that has developed into an Olympic sport with hundreds of thousands of followers around the world. At Elite we teach WTF-style taekwondo with the aim of building athletes and students with outstanding skills in:
- kyorugi (sparring)
- poomsae (patterns)
- fitness
- flexibility
- self-defence
Where is Elite Taekwondo based?
Robin teaches at the Waitoki school gym which is handy to Wainui, Kaukapakapa, and Helensville on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Class times are 2:30 to 3:30 and 4:30 to 5:30, with a beginner's class from 3:30 - 4:30. Competition sparring classes are run on Friday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 for beginners, and 4:30 to 5:30 pm for more advanced students at an additional $5 fee per class.
Fees and payment options
Taekwondo classes are run twice a week for one hour. Payments can be made on-line, by cheque or cash, or via automatic payment.
Per term (twice a week): $180.00 (family discounts available)

Elite Taekwondo belts and grading information
Gradings take place twice a year when a suitable standard has been achieved.
The grading schedule is:
- Basic - yellow tip - 8 Keub
- TaeGeuk 1 Chang - yellow - 7 Keub
- TaeGeuk 2 Chang, Sparring - green - 6 Keub
- TaeGeuk 3 Chang, Sparring - blue - 5 Keub
- TaeGeuk 4 Chang, Sparring - purple - 4 Keub
- TaeGeuk 3 Chang, Sparring - brown - 3 Keub
- TaeGeuk 2 Chang, Sparring - red - 2 Keub
- TaeGeuk1 Chang, Sparring - black tip - 1 Keub
